I'd like to thanks...

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I cannot put into words our gratitude for all those who took the walk down that hall last Friday, took a free shot of bourbon from a lanky guy in a pink coat (or not if you came too late!) and got down during the night of awesome afrobeat and funk. Thanks to you, Clusterfunk packed Cameo (and The Lovin Cup) and we all enjoyed a raucous night of hard grooves and smooth moves. Good friends toasted their shots of bourbon and chased them with matching PBR's and I ate a grilled cheese that tasted good to me and all were merry like mischievous forest sprites.

Ikebe Shakedown absolutely destroyed it! It's always an honor to share the stage with such a tight horn section, and all of Turkuaz was thoroughly impressed with their grooves. The air is filled with the smell of future collaborations (as in, "do I smell future collaborations?" If not framed in that context, the previous statement might have come off a bit odd). You have not seen the last of these guys.

Thanks also to James Lucius Gray and EVZEE. Props also to Evan for controlling the dope visual flows up on the wall. You also haven't seen the last of him.

When will CLUSTERFUNK return?! What madness will be conjured up next time?! What about the children?!?!?

Answers, in time, will be revealed. For now, I leave you with a video of Mr. Bootsy Collins teaching all of us the basic funk formula.

Love,

That Lanky Guy In A Pink Coat
