DEBUT PARTY April 30th feat. BUDOS BAND!

BUDOS BAND IS BACK!

OK everyone, you remember a few weeks ago when we tried to go see Budos Band at Union Pool for Voodoo Funk? Unfortunately, chances are you were among the same ranks as my friends and me. We were but a few of hundreds of people who were turned away when Daptone Records' reigning champs of afro-beat-infused funk, The Budos Band, oversold the small club before the show even started!

Well, now's our chance to right this incredulous wrong. Budos Band have joined forces with CLUSTERFUNK to give the fair people of Brooklyn what they clearly asked for: a giant funk party with the Budos, and plenty of room to dance!

CLUSTERFUNK's debut party will commence at 9pm on Thursday, April 30th.

"With it's twenty-two legs, three horns, and hallucinogenic venom, The Budos Band, the un-heralded emperors of Instrumental Staten Island Afro-Soul, continue to rule. The band commands their listeners to follow them on their second journey into the depths of their poisonous vision. While their debut album was itself heralded as a groundbreaking exploration of funk, afro-beat and soul music, few could predict that their second effort would not only match but surpass the realm of mind-expansion embodied on their first sessions. Through ten exciting new instrumentals recorded live at Daptone's House of Soul in Bushwick, Brookyln, The Budos Band pours themes at once resonant and ethereal over Herculean rhythms."
